This category covers transfer and dosing pumps for oil, fuel, AdBlue, water, chemicals and grease, from drum pumps to transfer pumps mounted on top of IBC containers and tanks. The groups are divided by the liquid being pumped, because the liquid determines the pump type and the pump type determines the materials.
Selection proceeds from the liquid and its viscosity to the flow rate in litres per minute, and from there to the drive: manual, compressed air, 12/24 V DC or 230/400 V mains power. Most pumps are mounted directly on the container: on a drum with a drum adapter, on an IBC container with a 60x6 adapter, or on a wall bracket with a suction hose. Suction tubes, adapters, sight glasses and foot valves have their own group. Diaphragm pumps are suitable for dirty, thick or corrosive liquids and for dry running.
For petrol and other flammable liquids, only ATEX-approved models are suitable, and the approval is stated in the product information. As the power source for a hydraulic system, choose a hydraulic pump.
