L876 - Butterfly valve with lever, EPDM

OMAL KRAVEN series item 876 is a ductile iron butterfly valve with a stainless AISI316 disc. The wafer body mounts between flanges without additional gaskets — the liner is vulcanized onto a rigid support ring, so it does not deform when the flanges are tightened, and the clamping does not affect the operating torque.

EPDM is suitable for water (soft, industrial, glycolic and sea water), steam, ozone, diluted bases and acids, alcohol and caustic soda. EPDM is not suitable for hydrocarbons — choose an NBR or FKM liner for those.

Torque sizing

Breakaway torque at PN16 is 24 Nm for DN80, 42 Nm for DN100 and 60 Nm for DN125. A safety factor of 1.3 must be applied when sizing. The values apply to clean liquids and gases at medium temperatures; torque varies with temperature and media. With high-frequency operation the operating torque can drop noticeably from the initial value.
