The threshold sensor detects a pressure drop and signals it with a pneumatic command signal (S). It is especially useful when assembled directly on the cylinder port: when the piston completes its stroke and no counter pressure is left in the cylinder chamber, a command signal is given out to a direction valve to reverse the piston stroke.
The major advantage of this component is the ability to command piston stroke changes without any electrical connections. The sole condition required for perfect performance is that the piston has to complete its stroke — no intermediate positions are allowed.
Switching pressure follows the working pressure: 3 bar → 0.3 bar, 4 bar → 0.5 bar, 5 bar → 0.65 bar, 6 bar → 0.9 bar, 7 bar → 1.0 bar, 8 bar → 1.2 bar, 9 bar → 1.4 bar, 10 bar → 1.6 bar.
