ATENA - Angle seat valve OMAL, spring return NC

The OMAL ATENA is an angle seat valve with a stainless steel body and a compact Ø40 control head. The angled seat provides a straight flow path, so the pressure drop is clearly lower than with a globe-type valve. These versions are spring return, normally closed (NC) — the spring closes the valve when air pressure is lost.

These models are ordered with the flow from below the plug, which is bidirectional (1↔2) and prevents water hammer on closing.

• Body and sleeve A351-CF8M (AISI 316), stem and plug 316L
• Stem seals PTFE-CF, body seal graphite, plug seal PTFE
• Chevron (V-shape) sealing: 5 seals below the spring, 3 above, spring pre-loaded — maintains tightness through large temperature excursions and a high number of cycles
• Cylinder PA66 + GF 30%, piston PBT + GF 20%, threading inserts 303 S.S.
• Self-aligning (oscillating) plug

Selection note

The Ø40 control head does not accept the NAMUR plate (KBNJ0001), a stroke limiter or an emergency manual override. If a directly mounted solenoid valve or manual override is required, choose the ARES version with a Ø50 or Ø63 head in the same DN15 size.
